Alison James (previously Alison Shaw) is well known to the family law jurisdiction and the practitioners working in Family Law. Ali has been an accredited family law specialist since 2007 and has worked in family law since 1997 as a solicitor at Andersons Solicitors and then Wallmans Lawyers and then became a founding partner at BBS Lawyers in Adelaide.
In 2010, Alison completed the AIFLAM studies in Arbitration with Philip Theobold and she arbitrates as well as mediates family law disputes.
Ali holds a Bachelor of Laws / Bachelor of Arts (Jurisprudence), Master of Business Administration and a Graduate Certificate of Mediation.
Biography
Alison has practiced law since 1997. She has built her reputation in the family law space and in 2010 she moved to facilitate mediation and arbitration of family law matters rather than litigation. Alison is currently practicing as a Barrister also.
Alison holds a Bachelor of Laws / Bachelor of Arts (Jurisprudence), Master of Business Administration and a Graduate Certificate of Mediation. She is also a Nationally Accredited Mediator.
Alison's interest in arbitration is the same as her interest in all types of dispute resolution without Courts. They all have their place and advantages. However, arbitration can resolve any dispute in the way agreed upon between the parties that is binding.
